Castro Jail and Sheriff

For a current Castro County Jail status, release or transfer entry, jail-register record, or booking photograph, begin with the Castro County Sheriff’s Office. The official page lists no records email, web request form, fee schedule, or records-unit hours, so call before sending a request or visiting.

The Castro County Attorney is at 100 E. Bedford, Room 213, Dimmitt, TX 79027, phone 806-647-4445. That office does not hold every jail or court record, so send requests to the creator or legal custodian.

Police Arrest Questions

Dimmitt Police can answer arresting-agency and transfer questions. It should not replace the Sheriff’s jail record when a person entered Castro County Jail.

Regional Supervision Offices

Parole follows release from TDCJ, while probation is court-ordered community supervision. Castro County routes both through regional Plainview offices, but the programs and records are separate. Confirm the assigned office before visiting.
